Verbesserung der Netzwerkfunktionalität. Das Modell 3 B+ besitzt zusätzlich zum 2,4 GHz Wireless LAN nun auch die Möglichkeit mit 5 GHz WLAN Netzwerken zu kommunizieren. Desweiteren ist die Platine mit einem Gigabit Ethernet Port und dem Bluetooth Standard 4.2/BLE ausgestattet.
